Joseph Dozbaba was born 1848 in Zahrada, a suburb of Brno in Czechoslovakia. He married Anna Bucek whose family lived next to the Dozbaba's. They came to America in 1884 with the John Micek family. They settled in Saline Co., NE before coming to Rawlins County.
Eleven children were born to Joseph and Anna: Anton, Mary Micek, Anna Mazour, Matilda Micek, Ludmila Spirk, Antoinette Ruda, Frances Prochazka, Frank, Joseph, two died in infancy in the old country. Their daughter Anna stayed in Czechoslovakia with family since she was sick at the time the rest of the family was to come over. She came later in 1893.
Joseph died in 1940. Anna died in 1933.
