In 1880's, Frank Kacirek and Katerina Schejbal came from Moravia with their 3 children and settled near Weston/Touhy area in Saunders County, Nebraska. Two of their children married Cidlik cousins in Saunders County. John Kacirek married Victoria Waiss, daughter of Frank Waiss and Anna Cidlik (see Waiss family history). Frances Kacirek married Anton B. Chapek, son of Frank Chapek and Eleanor Cidlik.
In the late 1890's, the two Kacirek siblings and families moved to Grant County, Oklahoma ran a merchandise store together. After a few years, John Kacirek brought his family to Rawlins County, Kansas.
