In the late 1880's, Frank Waiss and Anna Cidlik came from Moravia with their 3 children and settled near Weston/Touhy area in Saunders County, Nebraska. Anna's mother and most of her siblings (including sister Maria -- see Spicka? family history and sister Eleanor -- see Kacirek family history) had already immigrated to Saunders County, NE in the early 1880's.
In 1892, Frank & Anna's oldest daughter Victoria Waiss married John Kacirek. They lived in Oklahoma for a time before arriving in Rawlins County in 1903 (see Kacirek family history).
In 1897, Frank & Anna's 2nd child Jacob Waiss married Anna Kantor (see Kantor? family history) and settled in Butler County, Nebraska. Their oldest daughter Eleanor Waiss married Augustine Jesch (see Jesch? family history) and settled in Rawlins County.
