Moravia
John Kacirek came to the US at age 9 with his father Frank Kacirek, mother and sister. They left Znojmo Moravia and traveled on the ship Main from Bremen Germany to NY and arrived 13-May-1881. They settled in the Weston, Saunders County, NE area where John's older brother had come a few years earlier. After marriage, John, his wife Victoria & their 1st 2 children moved to Garfield County OK around 1896 to run a merchandise store with John's sister Frances & husband Anton Chapek. John had previously worked with his brother in a store in Weston, NE. In 1903, John & family left Oklahoma and settled in Rawlins County, KS.
