Emigration
The Borek family joined Frances' brother Ignac Vap Jr and family, as well as nephew Fred Vap and some other area families and emigrated to the USA on board the ship California. They sailed from Hamburg Germany, arriving in New York on 24-Apr-1884. The families traveled to Fairfield, Clay County, Nebraska and settled in the Deweese & Spring Ranch area of Clay County.
Oklahoma
In the mid 1890s, the Borek family joined other relatives in Kay County, Oklahoma. Their daughter Helen & husband Frank Forst remained in Clay County Nebraska.
Death
Frances Vap Borek died in 1937. She and Joseph Borek are buried in St. Mary's Cem, Ponca City, Kay Co, OK.
